Trust Tasley Volunteer Fire Company
Since 1926, Accomack County has trusted Tasley Volunteer Fire Company to be there in the event of an emergency to protect them. We strive to give back to the community who entrusts us because we are the community. Tasley Volunteer Fire Company is strictly volunteer-only because we want a station full of people who genuinely want to protect and help our community.
Fire Prevention
Our company strives to be a community oriented organization, and we work hard to interact with the public in a positive way. We provide fire prevention safety education to schools and those who are interested in learning tactics of safety in the event of a fire or emergency.
Apparatus
Our company operates out of the Eastern Shore of Virginia’s newest fire station, and we have a fleet of 5 firefighting and specialty vehicles. We perform firefighting, rescue, extrication and public fire safety education with clean and up-to-date equipment. We also provide fire protection, hazardous materials mitigation, and more.

Engine 85
- 2003 Pierce Saber engine
- 1250 GPM pump 1000 gallon tank
- Carries HURST tools, air bags and other extrication equipment.
Tanker 87
- 1994 Mack / S&S tanker
- 1000 GPM pump 2500 gallon tank
- Equipped with an automatic 8 inch side and 10 inch rear dumps and folding tank.
Brush 8
- 2014 Dodge
- Patriot Fire brush and field fire fighting unit
- 300 gallon tank with foam cell
- High pressure pump and 4 wheel drive.
SERV 8
- 1994 Stewart & Stevenson high wheeled vehicle
- 4 wheel drive
- 300 gallon tank, 50 gallon a minute pump
- Former military vehicle
- Used for response during special weather events (blizzard, flooding, etc).
- Used as a brush unit and for traffic control.
Utility 8
- 1999 Chevrolet Suburban
- 4 wheel drive
- Carries extra SCBA
- Air cylinders
- Extinguishers and absorbent.
